The Missing Footnote
You often see little footnote markers on text, like numerals or symbols, eg '1' or '*', which usually lead to a footnote at the bottom of the page that has all the fine print and/or disclaimers that really tell you whats going on. Lately I've noticed many of these indicators, but no corresponding footnote and along with it the important details are omitted. What gives?
