December 23, 2004 | Got a 2005 Honda Accord Sedan EX-V6.
My Neon served well and still does, but I'd lost the pride of ownership and
there were new quirks that kept popping up. Plus I really wanted a midsize
V6 anyway. Probably won't put up quite as elaborate a website for it
though. |
December 16, 2004 | hael v2. After getting horrible
reception everywhere it was time for a new cellphone and plan |
November 3, 2004 | Moved out on my own, again
I'd say. |
August 4, 2003 | Long time no news, welp it has been
pretty status quo. At work I started a new project last September and we
moved into Smartpark
in February. Personally, I'm watching movies and
going out geocaching. |
January 4, 2002 | Only 4 days into the
new year and
almost 400 hits already, its amazing that is almost 100 hits/day |
October 30, 2001 | Modified my Logitech MouseMan Wheel
optical mouse to reduce the brightness of the led illuminating the
logo |
June 13, 2001 | Counter is now past the 17,000 mark,
that is like 2000 hits in the past month, yikes. |
June 8, 2001 | Returned from a week long trip to
Atlanta for Supercomm 2001. It was a last minute decision to go (decided
to go on Thursday, left Saturday), the purpose was to demo our new product
with Nortel at the show. Things didn't quite workout and our equipment got
held in customs and didn't make it to the show on time. So we never demoed
anything. It was a good experience otherwise. The conference was rather
boring, our hotel was in the middle of nowhere (booking at the last minute
doesn't leave a lot of choices), everything was rather expensive as well.
Of course, I did pick up lots of trade show goodies, I think the badges
were the most interesting part (electronically encoded with the
information you used to register, just swipe at a booth to leave your
contact info, no need to fill out forms or leave business cards), no-one
seemed to be showing anything
new or innovative, and everyone was selling applications and/or solutions
instead of products, it was often very difficult to figure out what the
real product was. I did get some exposure to another city, particular an
American one, along with their transportation system and culture and that
was interesting, Nortel was also gracious enough to
invite us to their private Elton John concert and that was good. |
May 14,
2001 | Surpassed the 15,000 mark on
the website, sometime early May, strangely my car is at roughly the same
mileage |
April 28, 2001 | Everything seems to have settled into
a routine now and I'm bored, so I have been reflecting on things. I'm not
really comfortable or happy with the current situation so I think a change
is in order. It feels as though I have some control and more options, but
still very restricted. Being risk adverse makes things even more difficult
to change. Anyway, (rant continues) I've been reflecting on where things
are going, how things are and where I want to be. I keep finding fault in
societies operation, as much as I'd like to delve deeper, I am also
repelled and feel like walking away from it all. So I keep trudging on,
hopefully everyday will bring more insight into where I should be
going. |
February 27, 2001 | The webpage counter has
surpassed the 10,000 mark, the ethernet cables page is very popular, in
addition IE now leads Netscape as the browser of choice for
people viewing the website |
December 15, 2000 | Winter is here, lots of hits
on the webpage, the ethernet cable howto is quite popular, my car
picked up a couple flaws, and I've slowly but steadily been
improving the website |
September 9, 2000 | Attended Dawn and Julian's Wedding, a
great time |
July 10, 2000 | I showed up at TRLabs |
June 19, 2000 | I started working at Linear Systems
as an Electronics Design Engineer |
June 16, 2000 | Last day I worked for B-Com |
April 25, 2000 | The counter zoomed past the 3000 mark
over the Easter weekend I believe |
March 9, 2000 | Noticed that the webpage surpassed
the 2000 mark |
March 8, 2000 | Spoke too soon, I think the Onvia
thing is finally over |
February 11, 2000 | Well after a long dispute with
onvia.com, I finally have my DVD drive, it isn't quite what I wanted,
but..., anyway I got it and my new sound card and my new wireless
headphones all installed |
January 27, 2000 | ADSL arrives, surfing returns to
"normal" speed |
January 18, 2000 | My shiny new cars arrives, a new 2000
Neon LX with all the trimmings, save the ashtray, watch for a page
dedicated to it soon |
January 2, 2000 | Well the new year is here and it was
uneventful, everything seems Y2K compliant |
December 14, 1999 | Just read through the old news, update
escape sucks, however they (escape/mts) are the only game in town for
dialup or adsl access |
October 25, 1999 | Cleaned my computer, it was making a
whining noise so I cleaned some dust out of the fans and rearranged the
ram in the DIMM sockets as a troubleshooting measure |
September 24, 1999 | My university computer account was
disabled, I was sad to see this go as it had been with me for almost
the entire time I have been on the internet, it was still in active
use and I relied on it heavily, we will see if the escape shell
can live up to it |
September 12, 1999 | hael came to life, by that I mean, I
got my cell phone |
September 12, 1999 | Had to get up around 4 am to get to
the airport on time to get a standby ticket, as they had accelerated my
training and needed me back in Winnipeg a week early |
September 7, 1999 | Flew to Toronto to begin training for
my new job, luckily Gord was in Toronto and graciously offered to pick me
up even though the flight arrived after 1 am |
September 4, 1999 | Helped move my mom and brother to the
city, this is like the 7th move I've done in about the last year |
August 28, 1999 | Moved from Georgetown
park to Gaylene
Place apartments, luckily I did not have to go to a wedding immediately
afterward this time |
