This past weekend I ventured out to my high school reunion. When I first heard about it I didn't know what to think. It felt like I was right back there all those years ago. They kept pestering me, so I gave into the inevitable and sent in my "what have you been up to" survey. It was an afternoon BBQ affair for grads and their spouses and kids, so I crammed in some other events beforehand and showed up late. It was interesting to see a lot of the people again and I talked with most of them a little bit. Just one fellow I didn't recognize till he introduced himself. It is amazing how some people look identical and others change dramatically. It was a little staggering to see how many grads were married with kids. Other than that, it put things back into perspective, these are just regular people, all those big high school personas have subsided and the real world has taken over.
